Brace Yourself, PKL Is Coming

It's gonna be a very quick post before I'm going back to spend my limited time with people I love. Yeah, I still have 3 days before going to remote village in Probolinggo for about 1,5 months. No offense, I call it "remote" since it's hard to find by people like me. 😔

I wish the days I'm going to spend there will be fun and different from "Ethnic Runaway" that I saw on Trans TV. Huhu. I also hope that the villagers are open-minded so our program can go smoothly.

Cooking Class On The Go!

Just finished my cooking class time on last Wednesday with my #begajuler friends. We, group 12, had to cook a set of healthy Italian-lunch for male elderly. We had to arrange a complete lunch menu that has appetizer, main dish, dessert and beverage that together fulfill the current standard nutrition (RDA) for elderly. It sounds easy and simple at first.. but actually no. It's pretty difficult to make Italian menu that meets 25% of total energy from lunch. We had to weigh each ingredients we used—before and after cooking—which totally drives me crazy *le sigh*. It reminds me of one famous quote saying that falling in love with cooking is easy, but learning to cook is not. :)) 

But after we did it for about 15 minutes, I started to enjoy the process. Looking at my friends cut the vegetables, meats, and cracked eggs suddenly brought me to the moment when I was child. The picture of my fluor-dusted mom baking the cookies for Lebaran is the sweet memory I ever had. I always wanted to do the same thing like her, but mom always said no because she's afraid that I would cause the baking ended longer. Lol.

Back to the cooking class. After 2,5 hours, a set of Italian lunch menu was ready to be served. To be honest, we didn't really follow the appropriate recipe, but we finally made it. Woohoo!

Here I post the dishes we cooked. Looks mouth watering, no? :p

Garden Salad for appetizer

  Main dish: Calamari Rice with cheese on top.

This is supposed to be Panna Cota, but we modified the recipe to Pudding with Strawberry Sauce. 

 The last menu is Ice Cappuccino. Italian enough, huh? :D

I love the pudding most. My friend Berlin made it, fyi. The pudding is so soft, but the sauce is too sour. We put too much strawberries and missed the sugar. Haha. Actually the sour sauce balances the sweetness from pudding, so it's not killing my taste buds. I will post the secret recipes next time. :)

...So, am I the only one who just found out this cutie song?

 

Okay, okay, I wanna admit to all of you that I'm not an active Youtuber (?). I come to youtube only when I'm bored or when I'm searching some videos for my task. Then, Elle and Jess posted a cover song of Gwiyomi on their blog last night. I'm so curious as they got many requests to do this cover song. I keep thinking, why must this song?

 

I got the answer after watching their video. Yes, the song is lovely and.. cute, of course. I don't know why it keeps playing in my head. Actually, when you listen to it more and more, you'll find out that this song has no special thing. What makes the song so popular are the “cute” hand movements made by various idols such as Girl's Generation, Jung Il Hoon, Super Junior, and others.

Rekomendasi Dimsum Enak di Surabaya

Gue selalu suka wisata kuliner, apalagi kalo hunting masakan khas negara luar. Sejauh ini masakan luar atau non indo yang gue suka ada 3: sushi, bulgogi sama dimsum. Dari ketiga makanan yang gue sebut itu, yang paling sering gue makan adalah dimsum. Kenapa? Pertama, karena letaknya deket banget sama kosan dan yang kedua karena harganya paling murah dibanding sushi dan bulgogi. Bhahahak.

Dimsum yang gue maksud gak lain dan gak bukan adalah Dimsum Warung Mbledhos yang ada di jalan raya MERR Surabaya. Buat yang belum pernah ke sana gue rasa gak terlalu sulit untuk nemuin tempat ini. Tempatnya cukup strategis, deket sama SPBU dan kampus C Unair. Pertama kali ke sana gue cukup kaget karena tempatnya rame banget. Gila, semua meja hampir terisi penuh. Parkirannya juga penuh sama motor dan mobil-mobil.

Warung Mbledhos ini menawarkan berbagai jenis dimsum mulai dari siomay, keichak, wotiek, sushi, bubur taiwan, sampai segala jenis sate-satean. Believe it or not, gue bahkan dibilangin sama masnya kalo di sini jual sate hiu ._. Dulu sih pas baru buka semua harga makanan di sini cuma 7.000, tapi entah sejak kapan harganya naik jadi 8.000. Khusus untuk hotplate harganya lebih mahal dikit, sekitar 10.000an kalo gak salah.

Sejauh ini makanan yang pernah gue coba cuma bubur Taiwan, siomay, keichak, ceker ayam, tofu, bakpao, sama beberapa makanan lain yang gue gak tau namanya —__—. Rasanya sih bervariasi mulai  dari enak sampai enak banget. Hahaha. Fyi, dimsum di sini halal. Di depan toko dipajang tulisan halal dan gue juga udah nanya ke pelayannya.

Plis jangan tanya gue nama-nama makanan di atas. Gue asli gak tau. Yang gue tau cuma ceker ayam sama bakpao-bakpaoan. Hahaha. Btw gambar yang terakhir ini enak banget lho. Gue sampai nambah dua kali. *plak* *gak ada yang nanya*.

Saran dari gue kalo mau kenyang makan di sini mending beli bubur Taiwan sama dimsum. Kalo beli dimsum doang gak bakal kenyang, soalnya porsinya sedikit banget dan entar jatuhnya bakal mahal. Atau kalo mau lebih kenyang lagi dan hemat bisa disiasati dengan makan rame-rame sama temen, pesen bubur taiwan masing-masing satu porsi, minum, terus dimsumnya beli patungan. :D

Yey, finally I made it till the last episode! Setelah dirempongin tugas kuliah akhirnya gue secara resmi tamat nonton drama ini dan bisa nulis related postingannya *brb* *pesen tumpeng dulu* *plak*. Well, I couldn't help falling in love with Park Yoochun. He's so gorgeous and talented, both as singer and actor. I couldn't barely take my eyes off him while watching this melodrama.

Talking about the drama, I reaaaaally fall in love with the soundtracks. I've downloaded all the soundtracks and keep playing them until my ears get used to the rhythm. Most of the them are ballad, but it can boost my mood though. You guys should listen to them too! :D
