Not So Casual Chic

This week is a lil bit hard for me since I have ton of task that need to be done before the deadline. If you're curious about what I did this week, here I tell you my 3 biggest activities. First, I did my proposal presentation in front of 4-7 lecturers (kinda nervous at first but the show must go on anyway), then I was shuttled back and forth between campus and home for about 5 days in a row to revise the proposal, and the last is preparing the documents for my internship. So, when weekend is finally come, I can't be much happier.

Now, the fun part I wanna share you, guys. I did some make up thingy with my sister. She "used" me to practice her make up skill for her project called Rias Hijab—or what—I don't clearly remember. Since I love simple—yet—chic thing, I asked her to put make up as simple as possible. Actually I want to show you the full tutorial but we forgot to take the pictures of each step.

Pastel Colors

When it comes to soft and calm, pastel never goes wrong. I do love pastel colors because they can make me feel comfort and relax. I don't know why, maybe because the color reminds me of baby and spring ^^. 

 

Pastel colors are simply any color that has been softened by the addition of gypsum. These colors are then produced in the form of chalk like sticks, pencils and paints. I love everything that has pastel color, be it on fashion, food, or stuffs—I just love them. Speaking about fashion, I found many beautiful pastel dress from some Indonesian fashion bloggers such as Elle Yamada of ElleandJess and Anastasia Siantar of Brown Platform. Pastel dress does suit them well and they look so pretty on soft color.

How's your weekend people? I hope your weekend is as good as mine because I just finished the exam and now I'm home, having some relax before other tasks come. So much things to do on these couple weeks make me have to stay at room and barely even leave my laptop to do all the tasks. It's hard to pick one thing to do when all of a sudden a big pile of assignments coming in to you like a typhoon. The good thing of all this is I can spend most of my time with friends sharing the laugh while doing the tasks. :)

I really need a day to chill out from this stressful weeks. I'm glad God hears me, so He sent mom to save me from this loneliness *halah*. Mom asked me to go with her and Dad to the wedding of Tante Ratna's daughter. Happy mood suddenly come. Yeay. 

By the way, Tante Ratna is my mom's bestfriend since college, and you know what, their friendship age is older than me. :))

This is my first time doing this make up to my eye. I found the tutorial on Youtube, and hey, It's quite fun! I've never felt this girly before. :D

I wear black dress which reminds me of my high school. Yes, this is the second time I wore this dress ever since I bought it. The first time was when I took photo for my high school graduation with my classmate. :')

What Girls Should Do

As I mentioned in my previous post, I found myself drowning in task since the 6th semester started. I sleep late alomost everyday and wake up early even in weekend. I didn't even get the chance to watch my favorite serials—Glee and Running Man—that lying around to be watched. Huhu.

I should get some relax before I'm actually going crazy (for heaven's sake, no! ><). I'm glad that God hear my sincere pray, so He sent Reni and Oktina to save me from this stressful day. I definitely said yes and there we went, Plaza Surabaya.

We had dinner at some Japanese restaurant and shared stories while waiting for the meals. We had a chit-chat, gossips, and the more important is we fullfilled our belly. Shortly after eating, we went to clothes store. Reni bought a pretty skirt and Oktina got a jeans. I didn't know whether it's their favorite colour, because they chose blue out of others.

Our hang-out time ended with ice creams. Yeay.

The next day I polished my nails with cheap nail polish I bought from Strawberry for around IDR 5-10 :)). It turns my nails pretty too. Well, I think to be nice and pretty isn't always expensive, right? Btw I bought one from Oriflame too, but I haven't try this. So I will just post my photos with Pokari and Mukka from Strawberry.

Maybe this is what girls should do. Hanging out with friends, telling stories, eating delicious food, polishing nail, smiling at everyone they meet, and plenty of things I have yet to complete. It got me thinking about things I want to experience, so I will make sure to write a wish-list after this. It doesn't matter if I write unproductive thing like watching Running Man all day, as John Lennon said, "time you enjoy wasted, was not wasted." And I enjoyed that. :)

You should try writing your wish too ;). Thinking carefully about things you want to do or achieve, write with your favorite pen, then paste it on your wall. I wish someday your wish is not just a wish anymore. :)

Pretty Clothes That Turns Me On!

Sebagai seorang cewek, gue suka sama pretty-girly things yang lucu dan eye catching. Kalo pas jalan-jalan ke mal sama Tio atau sama temen yang lain, gue suka liat-liat baju atau aksesoris yang lucu-lucu. Kadang kalo laper mata gitu gue bisa lupa sama hidup gue sebagai anak kos yang harus hemat. -__-

Nah, salah satu (atau salah dua?) fashion blogger Indonesia idola gue adalah kakak beradik Elle dan Jessica Yamada. I fall in love with their outfits since I found their awesome blog in the end of 2011. Selain Yamada sister gue juga suka Sonia Eryka dan Dian Pelangi. All of them have gorgeous fashion sense that make me jealous to death ><. 

Back to Elle and Jess. Gue suka fashion style nya mereka, apalagi yang ala-ala vintage. They always wear clothes that make them look adorable, young, and sophisticated. They know how to mix-match clothes by color and theme. Look how pretty their outfits are:

I also love her shoes and blazers. The colors match with every outfit she wears—attractively well proportioned!

Hijabers (•̯͡.•̯͡)

Yesterday I just wanted to hang out with someone and luckily my sister asked me to go with her. I agreed (with fully dressed and make up like hijaber) and yeah, we went to Royal Plaza and it just happenned that the 3rd Moslem Fashion Festival being held there. We enjoyed the fashion show and I think there's a butterfly in my sister's stomach as she kept on praying her friends would win the Kreasi Hijab competition.

After that we went to bookstore and I got Sadgenic by Rahne Putri. I want this book for a long time and finally it was on my hand. Yeay! I will make a review from this book soon but still don't know whether I post it on this blog or tumblr.

We flew to photobox stall for the last. We took 16 good (?) photos of us with various kind of weird and beautifully funny face. Oh dear, I never did this for a long long time. I felt young again after doing stupidity and narcism with her :p. Here I share some of them:
