Pastel Colors

When it comes to soft and calm, pastel never goes wrong. I do love pastel colors because they can make me feel comfort and relax. I don't know why, maybe because the color reminds me of baby and spring ^^. 

 

Pastel colors are simply any color that has been softened by the addition of gypsum. These colors are then produced in the form of chalk like sticks, pencils and paints. I love everything that has pastel color, be it on fashion, food, or stuffs—I just love them. Speaking about fashion, I found many beautiful pastel dress from some Indonesian fashion bloggers such as Elle Yamada of ElleandJess and Anastasia Siantar of Brown Platform. Pastel dress does suit them well and they look so pretty on soft color.

 

List Drama Korea Yang Wajib Ditonton

Rasanya nggak lengkap kalo udah bikin list lagu ballad Korea tapi belum bikin list drama yang recommended buat ditonton. Berangkat dari asumsi tersebut *halah* akhirnya gue pun buka-buka harddisk lagi dan memilih drama apa aja yang menurut gue bagus dan layak ditonton. Proses pemilihan 30 drama ini cukup sulit, karena kandidat harus menjalani proses karantina selama beberapa bulan *plak* *emang Miss Universe cyiiin*.

Ehem. Intinya, dari sekitar 150 drama yang ada di harddisk, gue memutuskan untuk milih 30 drama dari berbagai genre dengan dua kategori, yaitu drama yang bagus dan bagus banget. Ahaha. Gue ngurutinnya berdasarkan alfabet nih ya, dan nggak menutup kemungkinan juga kalo di tahun-tahun mendatang angka 30 ini bisa berubah kalo ada drama lain yang lebih oke dan sukses membekas di hati gue. Oiya, drama-drama ini gue pilih dengan beberapa pertimbangan juga dari kanjeng mami yang notabene suka banget nonton K-Drama. *like mother like daughter*.

Semua drama itu gue pilih dengan susah karena milih 30 dari sekian ratus drama itu gak gampang, banyak pertimbangan seperti cast, alur, setting, soundtrack, dan tentu aja rating ^^.

Review I Hear Your Voice

Annyeong yeorobun~~

Akhirnya gue kembali ngeblog tentang korea-korea lagi setelah sekian lama gue nulis hal-hal geje :)). Dan sekarang gue mau bikin review tentang drama yang lagi hits di tahun 2013 nih, yang gak lain berjudul I Hear Your Voice. Gue tau drama ini dari rekomendasi temen gue, Vella. Bagi gue, dia udah kayak soompi yang selalu update dengan info-info entertainment korea terbaru hahaha xD *AAAKK* *dijorokin ke jurang*.  

Setelah googling sebentar, gue langsung putusin untuk download karena ada Lee Jong Suk dan Yoon Sang Hyun, tokoh-tokoh bromance di Secret Garden yang bikin gue ngakak.

Cerita dimulai dari insiden kembang api yang dilakukan oleh teman sekelas Seo Do Yeon secara tidak sengaja. Namun karena ketakutan, anak itu malah melimpahkan kesalahannya pada Jang Hye Sung (Kim So Hyun), rival sekaligus anak dari ahjumma di keluarga Do Yeon. Karena kejadian itu, Hye Sung dikeluarkan dari sekolah dan ia beserta ibunya diusir dari rumah Do Yeon. Sejak saat itu, Hye Sung menjadi benci kepada Do Yeon (Jung Min Ah) yang tidak mau mengatakan kebenaran kepada orang tuanya.

Ketika Hye Sung menyuruh Do Yeon untuk meminta maaf dan mengatakan kebenaran kepada ayahnya, Do Yeon menolak. Mereka beradu mulut hingga secara tidak sengaja melihat seseorang hendak membunuh seorang ayah dan anak (Park Joo Hyuk dan Park Soo Ha) dengan tongkat besi. Karena kehadiran Hye Sung dan Do Yeon, pembunuh tersebut tidak berhasil membunuh anak dari laki-laki itu dan akhirnya mengejar Hye Sung dan Do Yeon. Beruntung bagi Soo Ha, anak dari laki-laki tersebut, sebab ia tidak jadi dibunuh oleh Min Joon Gook. Namun sejak melihat ayahnya dibunuh, Soo Ha dapat membaca pikiran orang lain hanya dengan melihat matanya.

Singkat cerita, akhirnya Hye Sung bersaksi atas peristiwa pembunuhan yang dilakukan oleh Min Joon Gook kepada Park Joo Hyuk di pengadilan. Berkat kesaksian dari Hye Sung, Min Joon Gook akhirnya dijebloskan ke penjara selama 10 tahun. Park Soo Ha yang selamat dari pembunuhan itu merasa berhutang kepada Hye Sung. Dia berjanji akan menjaga Hye Sung dengan nyawanya bila suatu saat bertemu dengan Hye Sung lagi.

Sepuluh tahun kemudian, Hye Sung (Lee Bo Young) bekerja sebagai seorang Pembela Umum yang ceplas ceplos. Ia diam-diam menyukai rekan kerjanya, yaitu Cha Gwan Woo (Yoon Sang Hyun), meskipun ia tidak mau mengakuinya karena penampilan Pengacara Cha yang kuno dan cupu. Berkecimpung dalam ranah hukum, Hye Sung dipertemukan lagi dengan Seo Do Yeon (Lee Da Hee) yang kini menjadi seorang jaksa hebat. Keduanya pun menjadi rival kembali dengan saling bersaing untuk memenangkan setiap kasus yang mereka tangani.

Berkat menangani kasus Go Sung Bin, Hye Sung akhirnya juga bertemu dengan Park Soo Ha (Lee Jong Suk), yang kini menjadi seorang siswa SMA yang tampan dan pintar namun kesepian karena orang-orang menganggap dia aneh. Untuk memenuhi janjinya, Soo Ha tinggal bersama dengan Hye Sung agar dia dapat melindungi gadis itu dari Min Joon Gook yang berusaha membunuhnya karena dendam.

Menurut gue drama ini unik karena ceritanya gampang-gampang susah buat ditebak. Gue awalnya ngira bakal terjadi cinta segiempat antara main cast seperti drama pada umumnya, tapi ternyata gue salah. Yang ada hanyalah cinta segitiga. (._.) 

Tapi suer, drama ini emang keren. Suatu saat gue bisa cekikian sendiri saat nonton adegannya Kim Gwang Gyu yang jadi hakim kocak. Dan di saat yang lain gue jadi super tegang dan super mangkel ngeliat ulahnya Min Joon Gook. Meskipun gue rada kuciwa karena gak banyak namja-namja ganteng di dalamnya, gue rasa drama ini recommended buat yang suka cerita fiksi-romantis. Gue juga jadi ngerti beberapa perkara hukum dan pengadilan setelah nonton drama ini. ^^

Overall gue kasih 8 lah buat I Hear Your Voice. Hehe. Gue berharap tahun ini ada drama-drama lain yang lebih bagus dan menghibur, and I expect Heirs to be as good as this one. \o/ *gelandotan sama Lee Min Ho dan Choi Jin Hyuk*

To Someone I Don't Even Know Yet

Found this super lovely love letter from Rak Cerita's blog, written by the talented Sharima Umaya. Soon after reading this, all I could say was "God, I hope he's the right man you choose for me. Amen."

Bromo: Europe-nesia

Hello, blogger vellas!

It's been a long time since I posted about my last vacation (or never? haha). Sooo, I'm gonna to start my boring super exciting story when I went to Mount Bromo with my PKL-mates few months ago.

Gue yakin di antara kalian pernah denger nama gunung yang satu ini, atau, bahkan mungkin ada yang pernah pergi ke sana. Yap, beberapa bulan yang lalu gue berkesempatan pergi ke sana lagi.. untuk yang keempat kalinya. Ehehe. Sebenernya gue bukan anggota pecinta alam atau penggila gunung, tapi gue suka aja ke sana, apalagi kalo rame-rame sama temen. Gak bosen tuh naik gunung yang sama empat kali? Enggak lah, kan gue perginya juga dengan orang yang beda-beda. I believe that going to the same place with different people will make different moments. Dan itu emang beneran. ^^ 

Pertama kali gue pergi bareng keluarga sekitar tahun 1997-an, terus bareng temen SMP, SMA, dan yang terakhir sekitar 2 bulan lalu bareng temen kuliah. Perginya juga diem-diem karena kita lagi PKL *eaa* *mahasiswa teladan*. Jadi, semester 6 kemarin kampus ngadain Praktek Kerja Lapangan di Probolinggo. Sebagai mahasiswa yang gak mau rugi, jadinya kita sepakat untuk refreshing sebentar ke Bromo setelah nyelesein semua laporan. XD *plak*

Oke, gue emang gak pernah bosen sama gunung satu ini. The views are so worth to die for, hyper beautiful! Pemandangan gunung, kabut, padang rumput, dan semuanya keren mampus, ehm, kecuali padang pasirnya karena banyak eek kuda (wth).

Tapi emang bener ya kata bule-bule, Indonesia itu kaya banget. Bentang alamnya gila, keren-keren bok. Meskipun gue gak pernah ke Inggris, Perancis, Swiss, atau Jerman, gue bisa bilang kalo Bromo ini Eropanya Indonesia.

Kedai Es Anaconda

Ehm. Sebelumnya, gue mau ngucapin Selamat Hari Raya Idul Fitri 1434 H buat temen-temen muslim semuanya. Mohon maaf lahir dan batin kalo selama ini gue pernah bikin kalian sakit hati dengan ucapan atau perbuatan yang pernah gue lakukan. :)

Nah, berhubung masih bulan Syawal nih, gue mau cerita-cerita soal Ramadhan dan Lebaran gue kemarin. Oke, setiap orang yang merayakan hari raya (baik itu Idul Fitri, Idul Adha, Natal, Waisak, Nyepi, atau yang lainnya) pasti punya kesan dan momen yang membekas, di mana kita akan kehilangan kalo momen-momen itu ada yang terlewat. Sama dengan gue. Lebaran tahun ini gue bisa ketemu lagi sama temen-temen SMA, sahabat-sahabat, sodara-sodara jauh, dan para sepupu yang jarang bisa ketemu. Lebaran telah mempersatukan kami semua. :') *background song: Tali Kasih*

Saat sepupu gue yang dari luar kota dateng (red: sebut saja Rinda), gue ajakin dia pergi ke salah satu kedai es favorit gue, yaitu Anaconda. Kedai ini merupakan tempat yang pas bagi penggila es seperti gue, karena mereka menjual bermacam-macam es yang kalo diminum saat cuaca panas rasanya kayak di surga *halah*. Dulu sih Es Anaconda ini ada di sebelahnya Masjid Agung Lumajang, tapi entah sejak kapan (gue lupa) mereka pindah ke Jalan Yos Sudarso (seberang Gereja Katolik St. Maria) dan buka cabang di Klojen (gue lupa jalan apa).

Fyi, mereka juga ngasi nama yang lucu di setiap menu mereka. Ada Es Air Mata Janda, Air Mata Manohara, Rondo Royal, Putri Salju, dan lain-lain. Sebenernya kalo dari segi rasa sama aja, sama-sama manis kayak gue. Yang bikin beda cuma warna sirup dan isi. Harganya juga dipatok sama, yaitu 8k per mangkok. Oiya, kedai ini juga jualan bakso lho, but I' don't recommend it to you. Porsinya sedikit, rasanya juga biasa aja, tapi harganya terlalu mahal kalo gue bilang. ^^

Porsi es Anaconda ini banyak banget menurut gue. Gue sering gak habis kalo dimakan sendiri, so gue lebih suka kalo dimakan rame-rame di rumah. Tapi berhubung kemarin gue pergi bareng krucil-krucil juga, jadilah gue membulatkan tekad untuk makan di tempat dan menghabiskan semuanya dibantu krucil-krucil. *elus-elus perut*. Tempatnya lumayan cozy, full music (meskipun kadang-kadang diputerin dangdut juga, wth) dan wi-fi.

Oke, ini dia es yang kita pesen. Sebenernya kita juga beli baksonya tapi gak sempet dicapture karena udah kelaperan. Haha.

RIP Cory Monteith

Still can't believe this news. As a fan of Glee, reading the sad news about Cory really breaks my heart. He's gone too soon. Glee will never be the same again without Finn. :'(((

He has a handsome-half-smile and bright eyes. And now he's gone.. 

Here's hoping that his family and friends can grieve and move forward after his sudden death. Goodbye, Cory. Gleeks will miss you.

Brace Yourself, PKL Is Coming

It's gonna be a very quick post before I'm going back to spend my limited time with people I love. Yeah, I still have 3 days before going to remote village in Probolinggo for about 1,5 months. No offense, I call it "remote" since it's hard to find by people like me. 😔

I wish the days I'm going to spend there will be fun and different from "Ethnic Runaway" that I saw on Trans TV. Huhu. I also hope that the villagers are open-minded so our program can go smoothly.

Cooking Class On The Go!

Just finished my cooking class time on last Wednesday with my #begajuler friends. We, group 12, had to cook a set of healthy Italian-lunch for male elderly. We had to arrange a complete lunch menu that has appetizer, main dish, dessert and beverage that together fulfill the current standard nutrition (RDA) for elderly. It sounds easy and simple at first.. but actually no. It's pretty difficult to make Italian menu that meets 25% of total energy from lunch. We had to weigh each ingredients we used—before and after cooking—which totally drives me crazy *le sigh*. It reminds me of one famous quote saying that falling in love with cooking is easy, but learning to cook is not. :)) 

But after we did it for about 15 minutes, I started to enjoy the process. Looking at my friends cut the vegetables, meats, and cracked eggs suddenly brought me to the moment when I was child. The picture of my fluor-dusted mom baking the cookies for Lebaran is the sweet memory I ever had. I always wanted to do the same thing like her, but mom always said no because she's afraid that I would cause the baking ended longer. Lol.

Back to the cooking class. After 2,5 hours, a set of Italian lunch menu was ready to be served. To be honest, we didn't really follow the appropriate recipe, but we finally made it. Woohoo!

  Main dish: Calamari Rice with cheese on top.

This is supposed to be Panna Cota, but we modified the recipe to Pudding with Strawberry Sauce. 

 The last menu is Ice Cappuccino. Italian enough, huh? :D

I love the pudding most. My friend Berlin made it, fyi. The pudding is so soft, but the sauce is too sour. We put too much strawberries and missed the sugar. Haha. Actually the sour sauce balances the sweetness from pudding, so it's not killing my taste buds. I will post the secret recipes next time. :)

...So, am I the only one who just found out this cutie song?

 

Okay, okay, I wanna admit to all of you that I'm not an active Youtuber (?). I come to youtube only when I'm bored or when I'm searching some videos for my task. Then, Elle and Jess posted a cover song of Gwiyomi on their blog last night. I'm so curious as they got many requests to do this cover song. I keep thinking, why must this song?

 

I got the answer after watching their video. Yes, the song is lovely and.. cute, of course. I don't know why it keeps playing in my head. Actually, when you listen to it more and more, you'll find out that this song has no special thing. What makes the song so popular are the “cute” hand movements made by various idols such as Girl's Generation, Jung Il Hoon, Super Junior, and others.
